Ok help me weed out the .exe files running in the background on my laptop...

any of this bad? If so how do I go about eliminating it?

That's after comparing it to mine. I recommend doing a scan disk and deleting all that crap which will clear out your temp files where pop up .exe hide.

You also do not need google update either...

go to start, run and type msconfig go to the start up tap and I would do a disable all and if you find your computer needs to load some of these programs up when you start up windows just go back in to it and click the ones you want to load when the OS loads

Don't use msconfig, use services.msc but beyond that, if you think you're infected, download and install the latest HJT (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis/download), run a SCAN ONLY then copy/paste the contents. Go here (http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?showforum=25), register and start a thread w/ the contents of your HJT scan in the body w/ a brief explanation of the issues.
