View Full Version : Computer running slow what "cleaner" program

would you recommend? I have the usual, spybot, pc pitstop, ad aware, system mechanic - tried them all and the screensaver still just crawls even with a 1 sec change ....not sure how else to measure performance - it does often say CPU usage at 100% .....

We have pretty good luck with Maleware bytes. Also, go into add/remove programs and remove programs you don't use or reconize. After you have done all that, run chkdisk and then defrag the disk.

If none of that works, if we can still access the OS.....we will save everything we want to keep to a jump drive and then re-install windows. DO the above works about 80% of the time.

If you dont have an anti-virus program (i'm sure you do though), go to avast.com and download their from program and then run a boot time scan.
