Street car Bracket Race on April 26, 2009

I have been working with North Star to set up a "Street Car" bracket race event on Sunday April 26, 2009.

THis is a 7.5 second 1/8 mile and slower event.

Rules ares:
All cars must be completely street legal, including inspection, registration, and insurance. No tubs, or mini-tubs, and no cars faster than a 7.50. No trailer cars.



pay out for 100 car field is as follows

Winner-$350
R/Up-$250
Semis (3rd & 4th)-$100
Qtrs (5th-8th)-$50

$25 Car and Driver Entry

pay out for a 55 car field would be as follows:

Winner-$250
R/Up-$100
Semis-$50
Qtrs-$25

$25 Car and Driver Entry


remember the more cars the more money the payouts will be.

I am checking on "tire rules" to see if slicks will be allowed.

If this goes well there is a chance that it could turn into a monthly event and even bi-monthly.

It seems that the date keeps changing, so I suggest goint to the NorthStar site to find the actual date. Now I am hearing it will be on the 19th.........

no trailor cars? Leaves me out,cant see driving 100 plus miles and tearing something up,then paying a wrecker 300 bucks to get it home,dont see what it matters if it is tagged,inspected and insured?
