I used to hate Gilbert, but when I started to hear him on the Stern show it all made sense and now I think he's fucking brilliant. His dracula and pope impressions are the best.
What about Edward James Olmos the Lt. on Miami Vice? Something about him made me want to punch the TV. He was always mumbling something about "kilo's" and "coke" it really got on my nerves....

^I agree. I always hated him in the 80's and now after getting to work with Second City out of Chicago and listening to them talk about how much of a selfish douche bag he is back when he was at Second City, I dislike him even more. Improv is about teamwork, thats what makes the comedy aspect of it work. Martin Short is all about himself, lots of stories of him ruining bits because he was trying to steal the show and be the center of attention. He is disliked by alot of industry professionals.

He may be a douche as a person, but you can't deny his acting ability. It sucks, as I can't stand him as a person, but he's a brilliant actor. The role of Spicoli was only a small part. he hit it so far out of the park, they kept writing in scene's until he asked them to stop. Didn't want to the movie to become just about Spicoli.

I have to agree, he is pretty funny on Stern. The thought of him handling a baby is really scary, but second to someone actually having sex with him in the first place.
