I went to the first one out there. I have actually seen you race out there Gyro( in the past). Maybe a meeting should be thrown together to go out as a meeting.

Yes, I'm still in Midlothian. The car is the same as when it was painted 13 years ago.

You should put a huge Kawasaki of Carrollton logo on your car. LOL

Good luck and let us know how well you do.

Guess I will have to piss off my bosses some more and take another day off to go racing...well to go parking.

I already took off around 10 days within the next 2 months for multi-day races.

We can't get out there until around 9 on Thursday night. Looks like we will be camping in line, in the spectator parking lot. Self-contained motor home FTW!!

Hey jyro what time you guys heading out thursday? Looks like they are stacking them at 6am and opening gates at noon. Problem is 464 cars isn't very many to be going through all this trouble of parking? Ive seen 700+ cars out there. Under 500 will fit on the concrete. Oh well, guess the big parties will be going on thursday night now :wiggle:

spun 2 rod bearings on my motor Sunday, we came home, pulled it out, had it all apart by 9:30 sunday night. 2 hbeam eagle rods let go caused by the main caps pushing off the block far enough to cause oil failure to the center rods. I took off work all week to get it done. Took the crank to Blaines and they turned it in 4 hours, bought all the parts there, I already had a unbuilt spare motor with the same rods so I robbed a couple. I took the heads and block to Dennis Wells, dropped them off at 7:30 and they were done by 3:30. I came home and built the motor. I'll drop it in in the morning and it should be running by noon.
Headed to test and tune at kennadale wed.

I thought you guys just went to junkyards, pulled a motor; and slapped the blower on it lol. We have had nights/days like that before though glad we live in a city with so many readily avaliable speed shops.

split a 302 roller block and needed to race.

back in the 2002 , it was a totally stock 302 gt motor with 100,000+ miles, pulled the intake and mounted our stuff on top. ran 10.60's with 12 lbs. stock heads, stock rockers, stock cam, right out of a donor wrecking yard car.

Why are they putting the slow cars so close to the front. The need to put the fast ones up front. Stupid.

What are you talking about up front? You mean in the run-order? Every event other than bracket races I have ever attended runs the slowest cars first.

I am talking about pits. Group "A" is 12.50 and slower and they are closest to the track. I am guessing pit group "s" is for e f g h and i.

They aren't making you pit in your ET group. Those are just letters on the map.

I'll be there Fri morning. Leaving here about 4:30 and heading up.

Look for my Coupe 87-93 body style, Dr. Pepper colored LOL. Redfire on the bottom and silver on the top. Will have a Southern Creationz sticker on the back window.

Come by and introduce yourself. Should be pitted with about 7-8 cars from Houston.
