Here's a link to the same knife, but I bought it from Smokey Mountain Knife Works for $34.99.

It comes with a Kydex sheath that you can remove the belt hangar and thread the sheath through belt loops if you want.

I bought it for cleaning hogs when we go hunting.

Here's SMKW's link. For some reason it wasn't working when I posted the thread.

:dunno:

This link also shows the sheath/holster. I didn't know it when I ordered it, but the sheath has a retention system. You use your thumb to move the release.

Actually, being a Desert Storm veteran, I like the color. I would have taken black too, but this color was on clearance.

I have found Gerbers do not hold a blade long, and never sharpen back up...

Also would never have a hunting knife without a gut hook...

Here is the one my wife got me:

It all depends on the blade material.

I don't use the hell out of a knife, so it'll probably last a long time. I like the looks of it too. It feels good in my hand, and it's pretty damn sharp. I ran it through the Wusthof sharpener I got when I bought my wife's kitchen set and it is like a razor now.

I'll just take the sharpener with me when I go on hog hunts in case it loses an edge during a cleaning.
