Got the 3x FTS in yesterday... Sexy!

I'm getting a pair of YHM flip up sights on Monday. I'll have to move the optics forward a bit to make room for the rear sights.

i have been going back in forth in my head on if i want an eotech or and aimpoint for my AR. this is cool but after seeing it with the magnifier i think my taste is going to aimpoint.

still cool though

I figure 99 bucks for a 3x magnifier would be a bargain if it works. (Hell if it didn't I would return it.. "Higher than Shit" err Cheaper than Dirt, would take it back and give a full refund.)

Figured I'd post that, maybe you could try one out, if it worked, and you could return your eotech magnifier, it would save you a ton of cash.

Nice purchase I need the magnifier myself, got the first eotech for my wifes AR and fell in love. I am now putting them on all my AR's, never used a better (easier) site.

How does that 1 MOA dot look maginfied? I would think that making the dot bigger would cover more of the target at longer ranges.

Just how does that work?

Strangley enough, it looks like the target is magnified more than the reticle. I'll try to get pics.

Yea, it doesn't make sense but I've looked at it at different times of the day in different lighting conditions. It's not just me.

The reticle in the last picture appears fuzzy only because the camera is focused on the target. In real life, it's much clearer and sharper. It even appears cleaner than without the magnifier.

It's actually wider than it should be because I had the brightness up higher for the photo.

I have two of the Mako 5x's and love em. Not on an FTS mount but nice.

It's only 3x power mag, so it's not going to really going to bring the target to you greatly.

The 5x versions (mako) really brings you closer.

Myself personally, I have the eotech 512 on my AR-15, and if I want precise shooting, I take it off and put on a 3x-9 scope. I personally just like the eotech over the iron sights.

okay now it does, I think the last picture wasn't loading, I was only seeing the top and middle ones before. That's pretty nice.
