I have always liked this band... I never knew his parents were both Holocaust survivors. The article is an interesting read if you get a chance. Blender magazine.

Aren't they Canadian? That pretty much disqualifies them from "awesomeness" right from the start. I think the highest level they can reach is something like "not bad".

Rush does not suck! Give me one good reason why. If any of you haters knew how hard it was to write over 9 great world famous albums and still be on tour and still around at there age you would appreciate them more!

I totally agree, anyone who don't respect Rush is either ignorant or just plain dumb. Let's see where Avenged Sevenfold is in 30 years. No one will know who in the fuck they are.

Oh come on Rush is at best a "B" band. Tom Sawyer? Come on man, that song is horrible. It's just plain horrible, its like an audio recording of an anus, if that is even possible. I don't think it is so maybe they are pioneers in that area.

See thats the thing you dont get. you dont look past tom sawyer, that is their worst song, try listening to an album and not what comes on the radio all the time. That one song doesnt define them. And you have to respect that they are from a different time

Seriously, check out 2112. You have to respect the musicianship and lyrical content on that whole album. From a talent stand point, it blows anything on the radio out of the fucking water these days. Tom Sayer is more main stream.

Correction. Tai Shan is their worst song; followed closely by Emotion Detector.

Signals and Grace Under Pressure were great albums, but the two over-synthed albums of Power Windows and Hold Your Fire are pretty weak. They've each got a few good songs on them, but as a whole are quite bland.
