What's the difference between a standard trigger and two stage trigger? A friend told me it was a safety?

ok i didnt understand all of it but basically single is better as in durability? what's the point for a two-stage then?

A normal single-stage trigger has the same tension throughout the pull to release. A two-stage trigger has two defined stages that are often adjustable. It's a matter of preference, one isn't better than the other really.

Oh ok, so a two stage is for custom/high power shooting? because I'm thinking of building a Rock river Arms AR-15 and wanted to know what the $100+ difference was between the standard and two-stage :) thx for the info.

If that site was started as a sarcasm canvas, I think it has backfired...

BTW, this "Red Blade" person knows too many big words to be a typical Obama supporter...he also does not type in ebonics as other posters on that site do.
