I have one (Full size National match M1A/M14).

At 100 yards it shoots under 1".

I'd recommend the ProMag HD Scope Mount (Steel) --- Exactly Copy of the ARMS #18 mount. The aluminum scope mounts will move.

Also if you buy one, go to 44mag.com and buy the CMI 20 round magazines for it. (Best place to buy them and at the cheapest cost). Otherwise ONLY Buy USGI Surplus mags... FYI: CMI is the last government contractor that makes M14 mags. All the import mags are junk and will jam or not operate correctly from my experience.

The M1A is one of, if not the most accurate battle rifle ever shouldered.

If someone assumes I am a douche, there right. If they assume I am that douche ... sadly they are wrong.

So are the springfeilds really worth the coin from what I can tell their prices haven't changed a whole lot like everything else has.

They make a damn nice .308. I'd love to have a Socom rifle, but I just can't see spending almost $2k now.

LOL... They've DOUBLED.

I bought my National Match Springfield M1A/M14 for roughly 800.00, back in the day when you could buy the Norinco M14's for 300.00.

About 5 years ago, they were selling them for roughly 1200.00

About 3 years ago they went to 1600.00

Now they are over 2000.00 for a copy.

---------

I love my rifle, but I don't know if I would pay 2k for one. Its really accurate, fun to shoot, but by today's prices, they are insane.

I'd kill for an M1A, seeing as they are a good deal out of my price range now :(

I had a loaded M1a from springfield with the stainless barrel. It was a fine gun...shot ~ 1.5 inch groups with open sights at 100 yards. Fit and finish was very nice...id get another one if they weren't so expensive

Is there maybe a reason she is getting dressed? Like maybe some vid/pic of before said clothes were put on?

Still, yes, you have the best sig hotness...love how she smiles at you and then bounces away....:booty:

Standard -> Loaded -> National Match -> Super National Match.

Super is over 3k. Loaded is around 1700.

Very accurate for a factory semi-auto.

they also have a White Feather model over 5k with Krieger barrel.

just wondering if anyone has witnessed one of these:

http://www.thegunzone.com/m1akb.html

my cousin bought one and never shot his because of these failures. He traded it in at MGS for a ps90. If you read the analysis of the failure by Dr. Bruchey, it states that it was a manufacturing problem and a lack of quality control.

I would own one in a heartbeat.

that is the most ridiculous catastrophic failure I've ever seen. That cannot be caused by the weapon, it has to be an ammunition failure.

Yea the article hints towards the ammo.It was german surplus from 1959.

I just read another analysis that page links to, and apparently they blame it on over tempered steel used in the construction, but even then I contest it shouldn't have gone off like a damn bomb, that's just insane. BUT it's important to mention to 8mpg that the barrel that caused this was not a GI barrel, it was unmarked, and could have come from anywhere - and the gun did this with 3-5k worth of rounds through it - it's not like they are widow makers or anything.
