I need to get some laminate flooring laid down in my house. I can do the installation myself but am looking for a place that sells this stuff at a competitive price in the dallas area. I have checked lowe's and home depot and although their prices are good, I did not found the color I am looking for there. I stopped by a local flooring store and found the color that I want. The only problem is that it is $3.50 a sq. ft and I have really budgeted for around $2.50 a sq. ft.

I know that there are many laminates out there for $2.50 and under. It does not have to be the top od the line but really want to get close to the color I have in mind. Price is the most important factor though as I am getting the house ready to put on the market.

I was hoping that someone here sells laminate flooring or know's of a flooring company with a wide variety of laminate flooring at competitive pricing. I have attached a few photo of the sample I got so you can get an idea of what I am looking for.

Additionally, my new house needs a lot of upgrades and plan to add real hardwoods throughout. If I can find someone that will help me out on this project, I will definately work with them for the new house. It will need about 2000 sq. ft of real hardwood. Please pm me if you can help out. Thanks in advance.

Went to PEEK's off 75 in Plano. Got the same color, finish, and suface as the
$3.50 stuff for $1.50 a ft. I did go the with the really good sound deading material though which was not all that expensive. In all it will cost about $1200 to do the living room, dining room, entry way, and hall way.

From what I could tell they did but I didn't really look around the store. I went in with the sample I posted above and told the sales guy that I wanted the same laminate for $2.00 a ft. or less. He walked to the back of the store and came back with almost the same flooring and said he would sell it to me for $1.50. He then showed me the different backing and I told him he had a deal. I was in and out of the store in 30 minutes max. I walked in, told him what I wanted and the price I wanted to pay and he hooked me up. No bullshit sales hoopla. I will def. use PEEK's again. The best thing is that he has the flooring in stock and am picking it all up tomorrow morning.

If anyone here is interested here is the contact info:

I agree Floor & Decor is the best place for prices. There is also a location in Plano at 15th St / Central.

I just did my house and got the material for just over $1.30 shipped. They sent it to my work's loading dock, it had the underlayment and was perfect.
