Any good beginner songs you recommend learning? I played bass for a while and have a good handle on it but I want to learn some acoustic songs. I know a few chords but am a true guitar beginner because bass is ALOT different imo, Any suggestions?

Flight of the Bumblebee.
Seriously though, just start learning your basic chords, you will start recognizing songs that start with a certain chord, and then you will figure out the progressions. The hardest part is the hand coordination, which you have from playing bass, so you should adapt quickly.

Staind - Outside
Thrice - Stare at the Sun (acoustic version)
They're both tuned down half a step on all strings though.

lol these songs will sound great on an acoustic :confused2:
Lady in Black by Uriah Heep is a simple one, it's a 3 chord progression on repeat but sounds great.

Haha! Nobody else probably knows what you're talking about. Badass song, but hard as hell, and would probably/definitely sound like crap on acoustic.

Haha, me and nate tabbed the solo one day on his computer out of boredom. Can you even do sweeps on an acoustic anyways?

You can, it just doesn't sound all that great. "Pardon Me" by Staind. (Not the incubus song)
Mike Mushok does it. It's around 3:30 to 4:00 minutes into the video.
