Does anyone have suggestions / recommendations for jetted tubs? I'm looking for one that can hold two people and fit in a 72 x 45" space. I'm also looking to keep the price below $1000.
Thanks.

Would you be against a simple hot tub outside as opposed to the inside tub? They sell them cheap enough and you just keep the water instead of refilling each time.

Nothing is decided yet. I'm just checking my options.

Do you already have electricity ran to where the tub will be installed? A jetted bathtub isn't cheap, not sure what 1K will get ya.

The reason I brought it up is I've seen the simple ones for 600-1000. They are not that great compared to a 3000-6000 dollar hot tub, BUT they sure beat a jetted tub.
Some highlights that I can think of..
-More space
-More water
-More jets
-Save water
-Fairly easy main.
Negatives
-The cheaper ones were not very good looking depending on where you're putting it.
-There is maintenance to do as opposed to just dumping it.
-if you're all into bubbles and crap, that's a no go on a hot tub. (know how I know you're gay? :))
-Takes up space outside
-Electrical.
Mine was almost a grand and it's for one person. Don't forget to add in the cost of wiring in a GFI circuit.

The more I think about it, the less I'm inclined to do it.
I'm remodeling the master bath and started thinking about replacing the garden tub with a jetted one. However my prime motivation is getting a return when I sell the house.
But after discussing it with my step mom (a realtor in Illinois) I've learned it really isn't going to do much.
Thanks

It won't add a ton of value, just makes it nicer when they compare houses, and you have it and they don't. Women love them, so if they are looking at comparable homes, it could help push them to buy yours. I know when we had ours built, Lyn would not have gotten the house if it was not an option!

Jetted tubs are a waist in my opinion. It's one of those things that sound cool to begin with, but once you've used it a few times you realize they are over rated. The only use mine gets is when my chick fills it with water and dips her legs in it to shave them. She doesn't even get in the damn tub she just sits on the edge.

Look at an acrylic tub from home depot.
We just installed a 6ft/ 4ft American standard, jetted tub at one of our remodels.
Pretty nice for aroud $750. Just make sure you set it in sand mix so it doesnt "flex".:beerchug:

Jetta Bath on 35E North of Mikes Hobby Shop they have one that size for around 850. We put one in although my wife said do not waste the money now with the Tankless water heater she sits in it for an hour a a time just relaxing.
Just get it deep at like 23-25" and long and square. Ovals reduce leg room with two in it.

LOL at using a hot tub. You could never use soap and who wants to "bathe" in the same water all the time. You might be a redneck if :D
