Iv been looking for some Gamo pellet guns at Cabelas but cant decide which one to get. They range anywhere from $120-$700(for 1000fps+).

just use a cheap marlin bolt action and some .22 shorts, you can shoot a .22 short in a neighborhood and no one would notice.

Buy a box of CB22's. They are very quite and very effective against squirrels and other small varmints.
I've heard good thing about GAMO air rifles. 1,000+ fps and very quiet, but you're looking at about $300.

No. It won't cycle a damn thing except a bolt gun :lew:
I can shoot them in my Ruger 10/22 and hold the bolt closed and it's VERY quite. Very similar to a pellet gun, but I've taken out problem varmints and never aroused anyone's suspicion.

I loved those little CB's until I found out about Super Colibri 22 Longs (575 FPS). I was reading on a rimfire forum about these and there are some demo's on youtube. I read where you have to use Super Colibri's instead of the standard Colibri's in a rifle do to the danger of the standard ones possibly not making it out of the barrel....I guess do to rifling.

I have a gamo with fixed barrel 1200fps .177 . Its awesome crows dont have a chance and the only way the neighbors can hear is if they are outside and pretty close. I spent $300.

Where you plan to do most of your shooting should be considered. I have a daisy powerline 1000 and it is just as loud if not more than my 10/22. If shooting in the backyard in the city, i'd go sub 1000 fps.

Thats definitely something Im gonna look into. Ill have to get a setup like that for my house!
I wanted a pellet gun in case I needed to shoot a snake or other varmit while at work. Most of the gas well sites are out in the country/farm land and I dont want to discharge anything that has spark. And Im talking about animals that are in my way or around somewhere I need to be. Im not saying Im gonna go out and shoot everything I see while at work. Just animals that wont leave or are aggressive.

Iv got a 7 foot steel panel fence around my backyard so as long as I dont aim above the fence line I dont think it will go to far.

You should get a Cricket .22. They're so small they look like a pellet gun.

my primary concern is when I'm cycling the bolt and a neighbor seeing brass bouncing. Have to be careful with that, but using .22 shorts, or a .22LR with a suppressor doesn't produce any audible alert to anyone, all you here is the slide or spring.

Buy a bow and do it in style j/k I had a bengiman(sp) 347 growing up kick ass single shot. Pumps hard as hell tho. Hell its just about 20 years old now and the seals are still good. I shoot it a few times each year.

sorry mine is the 397. They have changed the design a little over the years. Wal-mart carried them for a while, but not any more. We got mine from cabella's. That was a long trip but well worth it. Hell it even got left out in a snow storm and i had to sand down the wood and re stain it. My pops was piiissseed haha.

Some cities consider Air rifles and paint ball markers the the same as regular firearms legally.

I have one in a .20 cal. that shoots 7XX ft. per second. I have killed squirrels, snakes, turtles, frogs, and the last victim was a racoon. The racoon took two shots to the head to bring down. Still alot of fun to shoot though.

And they would all pretty much have to suck a dick for Odin since the SC's "Heller" decision.

I have a Gamo pellet gun that I don't shoot anymore. I posted a link and I am 95% sure this is the one I have. It retailed for $200 a few years ago so I imagine this is the same just with a little bit of a price increase.
If you want it, you can have it for $80.

I have that exact gun - the benjamin-sheridan.
I had one, shot at 1100fps, it was about 3 months old when it got burntup in 96 when my house burnt.
mod 48 was what I had, I really enjoyed it. You could kill nail stuff and drop them from 150 feet easily.

I have this Air rifle - one cock of the barrel and it is ready to go. Has BSA air rifle scope 3-12X44. Maybe 5 pellets through it. Yours for $100 and will meet you in metroplex area. Been sitting in rack for a couple of years - great condition.
GAMO is top Gun in rack.

it was also a one cock gun, couple of the caviots were that you couldn''t leave it cocked over a few seconds or the spring would weaken. The other was it weighed and looked more closer to a 270.
