I bought a Beretta 92F recently, and a "gun-nut" buddy of mine from work sold me a laser sight that he had originally bought for his 96F (.40 cal version, same body).
The laser sight is a Beamshot 3000, and consists of an aluminum trigger mount, the laser itself and a plastic mount for the laser. The idea is that you slip the trigger mount over the front part of the trigger guard, and it secures to it with 2 pinch screws.
The problem I'm having is that the trigger guard isn't a flat surface, it's angled down. So everytime I position the mount (level with the barrell) and begin to tighten the pinch screws, they follow the contour of the trigger guard and the mount naturally points downward....far from parrell with the barrell.
I 2x checked to make sure I had the right laser and mount (sold seperately), and sure enough, it says its for both the 92F and 96F.
Is anyone familiar with these? What am I doing wrong?
I'd put up pics, but my camera decided to walk off the other day.
Thanks.
