White House Knocks Jim Cramer For Calling Obama Budget "Greatest Wealth Destruction By a President"
NBC's Tom Costello, on duty at the White House today, asked press secretary Robert Gibbs about some comments made by his CNBC colleague Jim Cramer. On the Today show this morning, Cramer called Pres. Obama's budget a "radical agenda," adding, "This is the greatest wealth destruction I've seen by a President."

"I'm not entirely sure what he's pointing to to make some of the statements," said Gibbs. "And you can go back and look at any number of statements he's made in the past about the economy and wonder where some of the back-up for those are too."

When pressed further by Costello, Gibbs said, "If you turn on a certain program it's geared to a very small audience. No offense to my good friends, or friend at CNBC. But the President has to look out for the broader economy and the broader population."

Last month Gibbs had some choice words for Cramer's colleague, Rick Santelli and his criticism of the Obama mortgage plan.

Of course, if you knock Obama, you just don't see the "big picture". What was Obama saying earlier about the DOW? Something to the effect that its just like a political poll, you ignore the small bumps and look at the broader scope?

Seriously, they act like the rest of the country is a bunch of morons and only they have the omnipotent power to see the future.

They act like they don't mind destroying the wealth of this country as long as it furthers their socialist agenda.

LOL nbc is generally left leaning. Looks like Obama is starting to lose the magic touch.

MSNBC and NBC, yes. CNBC, not quite so left leaning.

Shit, I made the mistake of looking at one of my 401k statements this weekend, and my fucking wealth is pretty much destructed. I'd say he's right on the money saying that.

His point about the country BEING the stock market right now is spot on. And the attitude of the White House shows how out of touch with reality the clowns are. Keep in mind these are the same people who responded to Santelli's rant on the floor of the Chicago exchange by saying "He doesn't know what he is talking about." I suppose all of these people who have amassed billions of dollars don't have the experience to have a valid opinion on the economy but the Obama gang does? I like how the massive withdrawal of capital from the markets in the past two weeks has shown exactly what that opinion is. I'm wondering how long it will be before Buffett distances himself from this disaster?

The target gets painted a little broader each day.

If it wasn't for Chuck Tod running around and screaming like Juliette Lewis in the other sister, how great Black Ice is, the polls would be crashing even faster.

That old cocker needs to hang his hat. His recent investment blunders are proof that he's out of touch. Buffett will stay true to this democrat faction until he breathes his last breath.

Yes that is exactly what he said, and I watched the DOW lose the 12+ gain for the day, before the end of his comment! I LOLed
