Only reason I post this here, is because he is a Texas kid from the Dallas area. And I remember somone here posting, that that they were actually friends with this guy. His brother Travis was a good WR for OU, (and currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys) and Corey was a great talent, and looking to get on the field this year as a RS freshman. Pretty sad deal. Up until Saturday Night, they didnt know if he would even live. He is said to have stabilized. But, he probably wont ever walk again...let alone play football.

That sucks. My uncle got a spot on the Cowboys as a walk-on kicker back in 85, he died in a car wreck two months later.

Wow I know that's gotta suck for him. My friend ended his College football career because of a wreck. He was a in a coma for a few months and they thought he wasn't going to make it, but he did. He played for Tx Tech and has a bowl ring when he did play. He wasn't wearing a seat belt either.

I have a 23-year-old nephew who has been in a chair for 2 years. I can honestly say he goes through more challenges every day of his life, than most people do in a year. I don't know how he does it.

I grew up with Corey's older brother Travis (the one w/ the Cowboys), and my brother and Corey also grew up together and are friends.
I found out about all of this Friday when I stopped by my parent's house. For a while no one was sure which way it was going to go. Apparently he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car at highway speeds. The driver of the other car walked away from the accident just fine.
Sad sad sad stuff :(

Holy shit. I got a few friends that are good friends with Travis. I'm about to call them and see what the hell is going on.

My buddy said he wasn't wearing his seat belt at the time of accident just like strychnine said. How sad.

Yeah, but we weren't good friends or anything. Hung out w/ different crowds... might run into each other at parties.
