I went to Cabelas today and they had everything I could have possibly wanted in 9mm, .40 and .45. I picked up 40 rounds of JHP for my xd40 and another 100 rounds of FMJ, easy.

The reason it was plentiful at the show was because of the price! A buddy of mine was looking for 300 win mag and spent 75 bucks for 40 rounds. I hit the walmart later in carrollton and it was 30 bucks cheaper for the same amount of rounds. :eek:

The store near me had 20+ boxes yesterday. I bought 10. This is the second time in the last week or so. Keep checking. They are slowly catching up with the demand.

OMG!! I only priced the 6.8 SPC and it was about $1 a box more than normal, but it was loaded with Sierra match soft points instead of FMJ :biggrin:

2, it was more like 30 boxes, not 30 cases...a case = 1,000 rounds, a box = 50 or 100 rounds depending, these were probably 100 round boxes...

BTW, I popped into my closest Wal Mart a little earlier tonight and did a little shopping then popped over to the ammo. That shelf was empty, but I asked if they had any 9mm anyway. TJ (the old man that works sporting goods) said they JUST got some in. He picked up a case from a cart not too far away and asked how much of it I wanted. Of course, I said all of it. Anyway, I just got lucky with this score. It's Blazer Brass 115 gr FMJ, but I don't care. It was still $3-4 cheaper than the aluminum cased Blazers at Academy.

I have another lead on some 9mm and will be buying another case or 2 in the next few weeks.

It was cases of 10 100 round boxes; I bought 4 of them. Talk to the skinny guy who works there from 7am to 3pm and he will tell you what is going to show up and when. You can also check a 11pm when the stockers are dropping pallets off a various departments and see what is there. I scored 800 rounds of .223 and 3 cases of WWB .45 that way a few nights ago.

They had a bunch of Blazer 9mm at the walmart in Las Colinas (Irving @ Macarthur and 635) yesterday when I was there. No .40 though :(

There doesn't seem to be much issue finding it down here in San Antonio . I have a few hundred rounds of 9mm and a couple of boxes of .270 shells but nothing over board . I've been wanting to grab some .223 for my AR but haven't found it for a decent price in bulk .

I just went to cabela's today and they had plenty of everything. 9mm, 40, 45 and even 357 mag. Plenty of 22's and 223's as well. It was the most crowded section of the whole store so if there is anything you need, act fast.

I bought 357 mag and 40. The 40's were 19 bucks/50 (magtech 180g) and 357's were $24/50 (federal/american eagle 158g). I believe the 9mm were slightly lower than the 40's but may have been the same @ 19.
