For $90, itll probably shoot fine, but the Mavericks are the cheaper version of the Mossbergs...
But still, for the money, im sure itll shoot fine.

YES, i would jump all over that. The maverick has the same action as the 500. I have both a 500 and a 88 and they are the same. Only difference is my 500 has a adjustable choke and my 88 is just a cylinder. The 88 also has cheaper forearm and stock.
You cant go wrong with mossberg. All my duck huntin buddys have browning and remington auto's and im able to hang with them and sometimes kill more duck with my 500 pump. I cleaned my 500 the other day and when I removed the barrel on the underside of the forearm it looked like a mud dobber made a nest in there. There was a shit load of dried caked mud. I never noticed.

I hate how the Mavericks feel. I was shopping the 870s yesterday and picked up a Maverick while I was there, felt like cheap shit, imo.

They are cheap. Hard to beat 170.00 for a 28" mossberg that goes bang everytime you pull the trigger. The 500 does feel a little more balanced.

Funny thing as terrible as the maverick feels when i worked at academy the only issue we ever had was a 500 that the bolt fell apart and jammed the action.
but for 90 bucks you probably can't go wrong.

I have one for home use and for the money it does everything I need it to do. Put several hundred rounds through it with no problems.

The maverick doesn't have the metal tube inside the foregrip for the action bars to connect to, so they are just connected to the plastic. Other than that its just like a 500. For $90 I'd get it.

I know a few of my buddies that would have been all over that for the money. Good find.
