He probably would have not cancelled offshore exploration and he would have renewed the oil leases. Gas shot up 22 cents yest. Obama needs to stop trying so hard for green energy right now because Americans can not afford this.
Also, McCain would not have released TERRORISTS from GITMO.

I don't know, but I like the idea of not having any liberals.

actually if he was president, he would be at total odds with the congress and nothing would be getting done.
He would get you drunk and rape your mouth like your Uncle Jimmy used to do.

Maybe an Independent should finally become president then both sides might come up with something they could agree on (and do some good for a change) and both sides could jump up & down. If Nancy Pelosi had jumped out of her jack-in-the-box-seat the other night one more time I would have screamed. :censored:

As my friend would say, you are dead nuts on. A conservative independent acting as a mediator between the two parties as president would help get us back on track.

She was just doing what the appluase sign told her to.
Nancy Pelosi“ absolutely” favors criminal prosecutions for any Bush administration officials involved in torture or other excesses in the fight against terrorism. WTF?
Let the prisoners free and live with her. I'm starting to believe that the elections are somehow rigged. There is no way that anyone with an IQ above retarded would vote for someone like that.
The Republicans in Congress might have actually had a chance to look at the stimulus plan before it was rushed through and put into law. McCain would remember he has veto power.

That's a good point.
My counterpoint is without a 2/3 majority to overide the veto, very little would get passed and our economic situation would get even worse.

McCain would have passed a similar stimulus bill. It might have had a different focus but I guarantee you that he would have spent that money..
There would be tax cuts. I'm not so sure he could get anything larger than what Obama had (which are minimal) because of the Democratic dominated congress..
In other words, not much difference.
However I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be looking to raise taxes right now. He would probably make some pretty serious cuts in his budget proposal.
McCain isn't that far off from Obama in many respects. That is one of the many reason he lost. He is representative of a Republican Party that has only once lived up to the principals it claims. That one time is when Clinton was President and Gingrich was in charge of the House.
Right now I have one hope and only one hope. That is that the Democrats lose the House (and maybe the Senate) in 2010. That will force Obama to the center and then we might actually get some shit fixed. It does appear that the Democrats are doing their part by totally fucking it up right now. The question is, can the Republicans get back on track to take advantage.

Option # 1: He would be spending more and taxing less to help balance the budget
That defies logic, spending MORE and taxing LESS to BALANCE a budget?

It was meant as a joke but I can't believe people are actually voting for it.
Reckon they are liberals ?

actually if he was president, he would be at total odds with the congress and nothing would be getting done.
And this might not be a bad thing . It would buy more time for things to sort themselves out a little more . In the end , who cares what McCain would have done . Its Obama-time now and he's running the show . All I can say is I hope his plans work at this point because its a done fucking deal .

So you would like the economy to go further into decline from gridlock with congress ?
:worried:
So you would like the economy to go further into decline from gridlock with congress ?
:worried:
Over a trillion dollars in new spending and the Dow has still dropped 15% since it passed. A little more of a loss now is a whole lot better than additional taxes for the rest of my life.
I understand how it's supposed to help but those guys are spending money like a drunken rock star at a strip club. Do you honestly think every single member of congress read the bill before voting on it? I bet less than 10% did.
