Sigh... not looking good. Asked a company about some Federal HST in .45acp and was trying to see what the backorder looks like. The guy said that it doesnt look good, that Federal is still trying to manufacturer ammo for orders dating back to November and that it will likely be the end of spring or beginning of summer before they can catch up.

Ive yet to experience this ammo shortage.

it is very frustrating. I have not been able to find anything other than FMJ in .380 or .40 in a long time. I have been carrying FMJ's in my .380 cause that is all I have been able to find since I bought the damn gun over a month ago.

Sure would be nice to see hydra shok's on the shelf again, I search the net every week and come up empty :(

I use two major internet supplier for my ammo. Both are COMPLETLY out of 9mm rounds. One did have amo for my 45 and 40 so 2 out of three arent bad. The 40 and 45 rounds were very limited though.

shop around. I see deals online all the time even though I reload.

38cents a round for .223 is pretty good.

45 ACP is expensive compared to 9mm. Lot of guys will get a 9mm because of ammo cost.

Reloading stuff has gone up, especially components like bullets, powder, primers. But shopping around and the prices are still good.

Im getting ready to pull the trigger and get a Dillon 550. My cousin is throwing in $100 or so towards the press so he can reload 308. 308 is expensive...reloading is less than 1/2 the price. Still cheaper than surplus.

Want to buy some .380's shells? I have some .380 Hydrashocks and I don't have a 380 anymore....I'd have to count to see how many shells are left.
