It seems the NHRA feels a little threatened by ADRL. A dick move by the NHRA assholes. HRP pretty much told them to fuck off!

As i said before, adrl will be the death of nhra. Who the fuck does nhra really think they are kidding besides themselves? Not everybody wants to race a fucking rule book. When you run a show the way nhra likes to, and change the rules mid season, play favorites, drop class, pay out nothing. What do they expect? fuck nhra. KH is the back pocket sponsor of the adrl, and has way more money then the nhra ever thought they had. The show will go on, and nobody there will even shed a tear for the nhra, because these fans and racers are the fans and racers the nhra gave up on along time ago.

Get with it, or get left on.

just my opinion but i think ADRL kinda bent HMP over the fence on that deal,i think they moved it to HRP so they could get ,ooohhhh, about 50 times more people in there...and just left HMP to :crucified:

No way. I sure as hell wouldn't want give away 50 times more tickets.

As good as they may be, the 1/8th mile tracks simply don't have the room to handle 70+ promods, 30 XTF cars, 20 or so XPS cars, 30 bikes and 50,000 fans. HMP does just fine without ADRL running there.

The NHRA quit being about the little guy racer years ago. You've got crushing rules requirements (expensive safety gear needing to be changed out too often), rude NHRA techs that think they are god, puzzling points requirements, and a boring racing format that is out of touch with modern times.

The NHRA exists to promote the NHRA. The racing is secondary.

it's funny that drag racing is so much more accessible to the average joe, if blue collar nascar fans only knew what actually goes on in tech.

I also got the priviledge of lifting an intake manifold off of a small block with Jenkins after qualifying 2nd in 2000, while a family member of the Panella's got to take a picture down the intake port..............
