I am in need of a job.....I recently completed school for my Associate degree in Computer Networking...I've been doing contract work for a IT staffing agency but I’m getting tired of these 1-2 week jobs (looking for a FT position) Projects varied from basic helpdesk to migrations, imaging, Hw/Sw install, etc. I am bilingual (Spanish), fast learner, eager to get into the field. Any help or recommendations would be and is GREATTLY appreciated.

Which staffing agency are you using? Maybe you could at least find something that lasts a few months instead of weeks? Times are tough right now..

I used Aerotek last time I was looking...

Some places I have worked with in the past:

Apex Systems
Insight Global
Volt
CompConTech
Insource Group
Intellimark

Post your resume on Monster and Dice and be sure to update it once a week so that it is at the top of the search.

Send your resume to jwilson@dreamjob.com and see what she can do for you. Thats my girl and her jobs are generally contract to hire but more long term stuff. Theres a lot of high paying slots depending on your knowledge and experience. Tell her Mike sent you. If she cant place you with her contacts she may be able to put you in with a co worker who can place you.

Check into CitiGroup their newer corporate building on Regent in Irving is/was hiring, a good friend of mine is doing some of there server maintenance and is making nice money right now and has been there over a year now. I don't know if they still have availabilities but it is worth a try because they will give him all the over time he wants. Oh and you can do all kinds of different schedules you can pretty much do anything from 3 13 hour shifts of your typical mon-fri 8-5. Just a heads up good luck with your job hunt.

Check with Decision One, they are a contracting company that my company uses. Mainly they are on site at Bell Helicopter locations with long term positions.
