Living near a storage facility for foreign automobiles Ive noticed that the lot is overflowing with cars. Im talking they are backed up to the interstate with more arriving daily. So I did a lil search found out this is not the only place overflowing with unsold cars.

is it me, or when your cars aren't selling - maybe you should make less? I'm not the brightest bulb in the shed, that's why I'm asking. Might be missing something.
I can see having some excess, but when you're leasing land and everything to house cars you can't sell - seems a bit over the top.

Ummm, the UAW has next to nothing to do with all those cars. The VAST majority of them are Asian and European cars.

with foreign car manufactures the real problems lie with the dealers, to many of them went out of business, no one to sell cars. its not all bad though, sometimes auto makers will take back extra inventory, turn them into race cars, then sell them. Mazda has done this for years.

I see some fire sale incentives popping up. Home builders are knocking 10's of thousands of $$ off the price of new homes just to move them so I'm sure the automakers will do the same.

They should cut the MSRP to 50% off, then only cover half the cost of warranty claims, short of major flaws that would make the vehicle inoperable/unsafe.
