This type thing is right up Fox Sports alley. Unfortunately as they typically do, they butchered this list. So, let's debate it here then. What are the best sports movies ever?

Their list: http://msn.foxsports.com/other/pgStory?contentId=9242704#sport=More%20Sports&photo=9242822

My list goes something like this (yeah, I'm a little skewed towards baseball, but that's my favorite sport):

1. The Natural
2. Field of Dreams
3. Hoosiers
4. Bull Durham
5. Caddyshack
6. Rudy
7. Remember the Titans
8. Slap Shot
9. Rocky
10. A League of Their Own

8. The Hurricane
9. Resurrecting The Champ

"Rudy" was OK until I read the true story about it. It kind of took the shine off...

I agree with The Benchwarmers on the shittiest list. They could also throw The Comebacks in there, too. Jesus Christ, those were painful. I couldn't make it halfway through either one of them.

Some good ones in there, Scoot. I forgot about The Pistol. That's a great movie. I was telling someone about it a few months ago. You can also add a movie called "The Goat" in there too. It's about some playground legend named Earl Manigault. Don Cheadle plays him in it. Supposedly he could do stuff like David Thompson -- take money off the top of the backboard and stuff. He got into drugs though. It's a good movie.

oh cool!!! i'm gonna go rent that movie this week. I like Don Cheadle.

David Thompson was so underrated for his day kinda like a Micheal Jordan with his fast ball handling skills and crazy shots he made.

also could you just imagine how many points Pete Maravich would've racked up if he had the 3-point line in his day! I truly believe he was the greatest player(atleast in the top five). But then again his alcoholism kinda took over his career, too..

serious question, did you really like Color of Money better than The Hustler? Maybe it's my dislike of Tom Cruise that has my opinion skewed.

I watched them back to back about 10 years ago. I did like The Hustler, and it was more historical imo, but Color of Money had more one liners and a little more action/short scenes that made the movie flow better and with better pace. Plus you get full frontal!

The Hustler with Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason is pretty good for a really old movie

Plus you get full frontal!Word. I watched The Color of Money first several times and then The Hustler a few times. The Hustler is a great movie, but it seems like the acting in every movie from that period is just dry. Either way, Paul Newman was a pimp. RIP :(
