Trucks are nice, exspensive to have if you do them right. Their a blast to drive, killin people left and right. Nobody ever exspects a truck to blow their doors off.
The fastest I had the red truck go was a 7.30@98 mph. Fuel was waaaay lean, broke a trans and a rear end back to back. IF I decided to keep it, honestly I'd say it would run 6.80's.

But thats not fast enough for me.:28:

Plans are to leave the stock front end on it so i can run in some of the slower heads up classes. Leaf springs will stick around on this one too. I know I have some Dart Heads just waiting to go onto something BIG.

Yes, its a pretty nice car. Needs some work but over all its a solid foundation to start with. Its not an SS, but it has everything the SS has.......most important, bucket setas with the center console.

Well I know longer own the red truck, I worked a deal out with the gentelman in about a 98% trade plus a little cash on my end. He wanted 14,500 for his car, I'd say the deal worked pretty good for bothe parties. The car is worth every penny of that. Remember, I sold the Orange Post car for 17 rolling, this car was turn key with a brand new drive line with less then 5 miles on it for a pretty much straight across trade. Plus, its an SS clone. You'de never know it was a clone unless I told you.

I did the metal work on the shifter around August last year, I recessed it down in the floor so the SS console would fit over it with out it sticking up 8 inches. Its a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter, it looks right at home in the console. I tried to buy the car then but he didnt wanna get off of it. I aquired the red truck in a trade, swapped all my parts out of my white truck and he happened to be there one day an asked if he could go for a ride. I scared the shit out of him. Then he offered to buy my truck, the rest is history. Now I own the car.......:wiggle:

Not by any means a crack fiend, my truck was just that nice. He pretty much gave me 13,000 for my truck and I COULD NOT pass it up. I know the value is no comparison, but thats what you get when you have something that somebody els wants. We both got what we wanted out of the deal.

I know they have a hard enough time just letting them run in the heads up classes. 15 degree small blocks are hard to beat, their cheap, almost a dime a dozen motors now. The heads just about outflow any ported small block heads off the shelf or ported. L92 heads flow in the 330's stock, ported thy've been know to flow in the 420's. Not bad for a stock production head that doesnt cost more then 860 bux from your local dealer(scogginsdickey).

I finaly brought the car home today to start the process of a complete rebuild. I'm gonna sell pretty much everything off the car. Engine, transmission, rear end, wheels, fuel tank, and the leaf springs. I was going to leave them on but I decided it would make a much nicer car with out them.

Going to go back with the original paint color.......gold:scared: Obviuosly something with some metalic in it. Same wheels as the orange car but going to thave them done in black, leaving the gold insert in the rear as is. This car is going to look sick.

I haven't seen any cars around here running a 4.86 on a 275 drag radial. That would be a half a second faster than my car has been on the 275. The last race i ran a 5.36 the car has a lot more in it. Guess we will see. Will you and pat be ready for the first 9" race. I am willing to bet that i won't be an underdog in the 9" madness. I bet there are others with a big block in the class that will have to use both stages when we run.
