I don't care at all who wins.
Last week for me was spent in Daytona Beach for work. Unfortunately I was unable to go watch the practice sessions......and it was damn cold.:frown:

j/k... I dunno. I'll pick Robby Gordon since my new and improved employer sponsors him. :)

I'd like to see Tony Stewart get the win today, but I'll be happy with anybody other than Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon or Kyle Busch.

You work for Jim Beam? Either way, I need Robby Gordon to win or at least place int he top ten. I have two different bets at 3:1 for him to place in the top ten! gogogogogogogo!

No shit...... No rain, no win for Mat K. Cant stand that dude. I think had it stayed green, Jeff G. or Tony would have pulled it out. That 24 was coming strong and was running strong all day.

Jr. fucked up the whole race. Jeffy would have blown a tire or something. Some nobody would have won the race. Glad Matt won it myself......just not under the circumstances.

If you're a Gordon or Stewart fan I can see why you wouldn't like a clean, sportsmanlike driver like Kenseth. I'd be okay if every race someone took out Jeff G., Stewart and Kyle B. until they clean up their act and race to win, not race to wreck someone and win.

No way. They had that shit under control once they figured it out. Plus, with all the cautions at the back half of the race which happen at every Daytona...... He was a strong favorite to win it. Even the odds on he was one of the three favored. Hell, he came back from almost dead last after his lucky dog break to 15th when the rain stopped the race with just over 100 miles to go. He had the car. There were other cautions to be had after Jr's regardless.
Why can't you stand him?

Just never liked the guy. Hated the fact that he won his 1 championship with only 1 win all year. Dont get me wrong, he won under the rules at that time and not bitching about it. I just didnt like it. Just something about his demeanor I guess. :dunno:

:haha: Come on man. You really think Matt hasnt wrecked or spun others on purpose? Yes I am a Gordon fan. Have been since 93. Aside from maybe Mark Martin and Jeff Burton, all those guys have done something underhanded to win a race. You forget how Matt spun Jeff out of the way at bristol to get the win? Jeff returned the favor the next time they met on the same track to get his win. 99 % of them dish it but cant take it. Thats when they all start bitching when the are on the receiving end of it. Including Matt and Jeff. I dont mind aggresive driving from any driver....... Its the stupid moves that cause multiple wrecks like the one today between Vickers and Jr. that I dont like. It was way to early for that type of aggresive driving. I dont want to see anybody get hurt.

You just named possible the three most talented drivers in the sport. They don't need to wreck anyone to win. If someone gets in their way they will get put aside. That's racing, always been that way, always will be. I fucking hate Kyle Bush, but the mother fucker can drive, so can Stewart and Gordon.
I have no problem with Kenseth winning, after all I am a RoushFenway fan. Would have rathered Carl Edwards win, but eh.... New rivalry with Vickers and Jr????Meh.....Aside from David Ragan and Jamie Mc. I don't care for Roush too much.

If you ever cheered for Dale Sr. you can't honestly say that he was a sportsmanlike driver. " I didn't mean to wreck him, just wanted to rattle his cage a little bit." Does that quote ring a bell? Now I don't think it is Tony, Jeff, or Kyle's intentions to wreck someone going for the win (most of the time), but put yourself in that situation. I'd wreck my fucking mom to win the Daytona 500!Lol damn the sportsmanship. Nascar wins are hard to come by and unless you try everything possible you won't be the one pulling into victory lane......:slomo::wiggle:

Lol I like Kyle, if I was that good my head would be so big you wouldn't be able to get a helmet on it! I've watched him at texas and charlotte I could always tell if it was a good lap or not by how much of the right side of the car I could read as he was coming off a turn.....

Both IMO. Vickers went for the block but it was way to early to try that. I am not a Jr. fan. Never have been. But it seems that you have so much dislike for him, you cant be unbiased. Vickers did go for the block. But Jr. had way to fast of a run on him and even before the initial spin, Jrs bumper hit Vickers quarter panel. That tells me he was there first. Had Jr hit the breaks or slowed down and caused the chain reaction behind him because everybody had to check up, then what? Would that have been his fault to? They were both at fault to a degree. Notice the fans are blaming Jr or Brian. Just depends on who you ask. Most of the drivers are blaming them both. Like Kyle said.... It was two guys racing like that for nothing.

Actually no it didn't. If you knew anything about senior you knew that he would do anything to win a race. The race he lost his life in is the first time he ever did something like that.
If he would have had a car good enough to win that day you can bet your ass he would have been on Jr's back bumper getting him loose so he could drive around him for the win.

Jr. drives more like his grandpa did. Takes car of the car and is smoother. His dad would just drive the wheels off of it.
In the early years his cars were heavier than everyone else because they were built so he wouldn't brake it trying to win.

I dont think Vickers is to nice per say to do it, I dont think he is an elite driver. He runs well sometimes and other days you dont know hes there. But Kyle wont put Jr in a wall because Nascar doesnt allow them to drive like they did back in the day. He's already been put on probation before for aggressive driving. And he knows they will remember that. Its a shame sometimes that they dont let the drivers settle things. I think the last of the real old school drivers was Spencer. He punched Kurt right in the mouth two three years back when he drove the sirius car. He was suspended 2 races for it.

They all want to win every race but they know that won't happen. I hate the "big picture" cliche but if you want to win a championship thats how you do it. Dale sr won his championships by being in the top 10 more than anyone else.

Kyle Bush is talented, the kid can drive I will give ya that! I still hate him! Carl Edwards is my driver. I really think this could be his year! Will be interesting to say the least.
As for driver ability not playing a role... that's bs. Driver ability does play a role in winning races. If it didn't then we would have different drivers winning all season long.

I have to agree 100% with that statement.I will never understand why Jr brought his cousin with him. All they ever do is argue about what needs to be done to the car. As much as I dislike Johnsons crew chief... I have to credit him for a lot of Jimmy's wins.

not so much as to say that, but after years of pushing trucks, busch cars and cup cars through the tech line, you would understand what goes on.....Nascar is a business just like a circus, nascar fans don't want to see a nobody kick the shit out of the superstars, plain and simple read into it what you want.
