I'm just trying to see it, and hear opinions of it. A few of the guys I work with saw it, and they have all abandoned Romo. They told me "He just doesn't fucking get it." Interested to see it myself, and see if I arrive at the same conclusion.
What were your thoughts when he was talking about Jordan and leadership?

I don't remember what all he said, but I think he understands he has to be more of a vocal leader on the team. He has to understand he CANT be Jordan. He can't take over a game by himself. He HAS to rely on others. He knows Witten will die on the field. He has to know that the other players will too, on both sides of the ball. Now that Romo has pledged to step up in the leadership department, let's see it put to the field. Training camp will be interesting.
they are talking about it now on BaD radio.

The point my coworkers were making, is that he just doesn't get the whole leadership thing. He said that Jordan was a leader because he was a winner. Wouldn't you think Jordan was a winner because he was a leader? That's the way I see it. From what I've heard, it just seems that Romo doesn't "get it."

After hearing it again I'll say this. Jordon was a winner. The ability to take over games by himself didn't hurt. He gave it all on the court, therefore Pippen, Cartright, Paxon, on down the line all gave it their all. He didn't have to tell people how to set a hard screen, they did that because they knew they could win with Jordon and 4 chairs, they didn't want to let Jordon down. It's hard to compare that to football where it's 22 guys. He is still blasé about the winning/losing but I think he understands there needs to be a crispness in the work throughout the week for a better performance on Sundays.

I hope Romo gets it. He could be a great qb if he left it all out there. I hope he can get out of the star role and back into his sunday cleats and play some damn ball.
