View Full Version : KING James!!
This guy is a freaking beast! I've been watching him play since his rookie year and knew he was special but he has far exceeded my expectations. The $$ this guy is gonna get next year is gonna be crazy.

The top 20% of the league will never pull a Josh Childress and head to Greece, there just isn't enough money there.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone does that is high profile. When you take into account that they will throw crazy money at them say 30 million a year with it being tax free.

Tax free, yes, but they don't have the revenue to support 30 mil a year. JChil's entire deal wasn't even 30 mil.

Their also won't be another highschool kid going either after the remarkes he made about the Euro League. Of course, when you're not smart enough to get into college, what choice do you have.

Just like they said Russia didn't have the revenue to pay Jaromir Jagr 25 million a year tax free? You would be surprised with what some of the teams over seas can pull off.

Lebron won't be going anywhere, he has already said he wants to stay in the most competitive league in the world i.e NBA. And yes this man is fucking incredible.

I'd take the Euros!

Yeah, but we aren't talking Russia, we're talking Greece/Turkey/Italy. Plus, hockey in Russia=Baseball+football+basketball in the US.

I've heard reports of Kobe pulling a Beckham and playing in Italy (where he was born) after he's pretty much done in the NBA. He wants to be a global icon.

The Russian economy is shit tho is why I brought it up. Leagues in Europe in all sports are wanting to show they can compete with the US. I am not saying Lebron will jump over there but I could see a couple of good to great players leaving for the money.

Can't argue with the state of their economy, especially the way they've suffered the last few months, but I still think it's a totally different animal than basketball in southern Europe. Now, big names might eventually make their way over, but probably more likely in situations like Ryan states. Too old to be a force in the NBA, but still good enough to make some dough and stay in the limelight.
