Distressed furniture; Rant

I know distressed wood is the "in" thing right now, but shit!

My wife brings home all of this old furniture, has me sand and re-paint/re-stain it all and as soon as it looks nice and new again I have to sand it down to make it look old and beat up.

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of seeing my hard work go down the shitter. I hate this fad.
