Honestly I feel like I got boned when we did ours. Next time around Ill pay extra to have a structural engineer tell me what needs to be done and then find a company who is closest to his evaluation. Definatly get several estimates.
BTW who are you?

I'm no help, but in the same situation. Please keep us up to date on what you do. I am saving up but this is in the future as soon as I can afford it.

Call Structured Foundation. They are one of the best and well known companies in the area. When I say well known I'm not to just talking about the general public I'm talking about the Realtor community too. This is important for when its time to sail your property. : )

Thats what I did. I had 5 different companies come out and every one of them said something different, ranging from 12 piers to 30 piers. Crooks! I got an independent engineer to look at it. He suggested 7 piers. I took that to the company that was closest and had them do the 7 in the places the engineer suggested. We sold the house 6 months later so I dont know how its doing now. :nervous:

Do you happen to still have the contact information for the engineer you used. I need somebody and want to go this route also before getting hosed.
Thanks.
