My dad had a 60X40 built around 4 years ago. He had full spans across the 40ft so it was a little extra. Slab and building cost around 30K. I wouldn't be suprised if one in the size you are looking for costs 25K these days.

I'm in West Texas so I don't know what the cost diff would be.
24x24 uninsulated is ~12k
24x30 uninsulated is ~14k
That's concrete and all, start to finish assembled with one roll up (16ft) and one walk door.
Or get the kit from Mueller and do it yourself.

I did 30x40x12. Used a Mueller metal building and bricked it to match my house and I have right at $25k in it....

mike tyler's dad quoted me about $5,500 or so on a 25'x30'...that didn't include doors as i was going to do a double and a single garage door. i did the pad already, myself, though. the pad (it's waaaaaaay over done) cost me about $5,000 in material only and i had some concrete guys that i know and a couple of my employees do the work. it has a 2 foot deep by 18" beam going around the perimeter of the slab and two beams making a plus sign in the middle. the part of the slab that isn't a "beam" is 6" thick. i had a local concrete guy quote me $4,500.00 for the slab, though i'm pretty certain that it wouldn't be quite as good as what i did. :D

I don't know how you guys are doing those buildings so inexpensively. I recently finished a 28x46 extension to my building and I spent about 40 grand on it... granted it's pretty damn nice...
I'm not saying it can't be done, but still, some of those numbers y'all are quoting seem really low to me.

I'm looking for a affordable concrete guy now myself. I'm doing a 12x16 shop out back and need to get the slab poured. I guess 5 or so bucks a sq ft is normal?

David you are on the high end of the contractors sliding scale. They saw your Shelby and Ford GT and priced it accordingly.

I did most of the work myself. Prepped the ground, did the forms. Paid some guys from my bro's soccer team to dig the pillars. Lined up the concrete, and had the same old boy's come out and drag the concrete. Me and a few friends put up the building up in a weekend. Traded some computers for all the electrical supplies, and trenched and installed it all myself. Lined up the brick myself then had the guys come out and lay the brick and stone.
Turnkey right under $25k....

DYI and hook-ups are the most afforadable ways to put up a nice sized garage. My friend is putting up 70x30 on his property, cost 35K. Of course this is with the "hookups", if not I'm sure 50k would be around the market area price.

That sounds like a pretty good deal........
