Looking at getting one of these for next season. I was thinking the 7mm-08 since I have a bad shoulder but the .308 is a great round. I have not hunted in 10 years so these will be factory loads. What would you get for Texas hunting?

Ballistics show to be only slightly better for the .308. There are so many more options and loading data tables for the .308 that I'd go with it.
But, I've got a Remington .308 PSS Light Tactical Rifle, so I'm kinda biased.
I love, love, love the 7mm-08 for deer hunting. I don't think there's a better round for whitetails. Just a thought.
