I've recently realized what a piece of crap my High Point .380 is. (insert jokes and comments here) I should have known giving only $80 for it. I'm looking at a Springfield XD .40 sub compact. Any comments on this gun? Other options?

You cant go wrong with any of the XD's. Good price, well built, accurate and easy to maintain. If I remember correctly, they carry a lifetime warranty from Springfield.

I have an XD45 and its a great pistol...

I own multiple Springfield guns, and have dealt with their customer service twice. Based off of my experiences with the firearms themselves, and with their C.S., there is really no better choice.

Also, I've heard several other people say that the xD is one of the easiest pistols to get comfortable with. I'm fairly confident you will not regret buying one.

Don't worry about the Hi-Point, we all make mistakes...

I have an XD40 and think it has been great. Just put 100 rounds through it yesterday without a hiccup. I will probably be buying a 9mm or another .40 sub compact (currently have a service)

LMAO at the high point .380 comment.
My friend had one the other day that needed to be thrown in the trash.
everytime you gripped it the mag fell out.
the rear sight (on a handgun) is a ghost ring - enough said
rear sight completely drifted over to one side of slide by previous owner.
needless to say my friend couldn't hit a huge 2' x 3' target paper at 20 yards!
not to mention how many .38's I heard richochet off the ground. What are those things moving at 500 fps ? POS - not even worth FREE

I want to stock up on cheap hi-points for when they do those $100 a gun buy backs around here. Then I can stand in the parking lot and make some $125 deals!
