Getting stains out of cloth seats?

I've got an '06 Dodge with grey cloth interior. My problem is this, the windows were left cracked one day when it rained and it got water stains on the out sides of the seats. I've tried several different cleaning products, but they all just make the situation worse.


There have also been a couple of stains from formula bottles in the back seat from the kids. Just wondering what I can use that will get rid of the stains w/o leaving a water stain behind.

Do you have access to a carpet extractor or carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment?

I suppose I could rent one if that is indeed the best way to do it.

Unfortunately I'm no longer in your neck of the woods. I don't think I've tried any of Maguires stuff on it yet, I might give that a shot before i go rent something. I apriciate the offer though.

Meguiar's has a product called Quik Out. This may do the trick, but it's hard to tell without seeing it. Sounds like you need something to suck the stain out, which is where the extractor or carpet cleaner will work.

i've got some pretty nasty water stains on my passenger seats.


and some pretty nasty dirt stains on my driver's seat. :o

I talk to some of the dealers that buy from me at work, and the best thing they said is take the seat covers off the seats and throw them in a washing machine.

Those yes essentials fabric seats are horrible! Like you said, stains with rain water and anything worse is just as hard to get out. Just be thankful you dont have grand cherokee/liberty cloth, theyre worse...:o
