..that was in the classifieds now lives in my gun safe.

It's a 12 gauge with extended tube. Holds 6 3" shells + 1 in chamber.

It's in great shape, the left side of the reciever has a few scratches, but over all it's in very good shape.

I disassembled it and gave it a good (although not spotless) cleaning. Like the seller said, it hadn't been shot (or cleaned) in a couple years.

She was a little stiff before I cleaned it, but now she cycles just fine.

I'm looking forward to shooting some skeet at the river.

The Trinity River outside of Bristol, Texas. It's where we have all our shoot-em-ups every 4th of July.

The guy that owns the Remo .50 BMG owns property out there and we have a GTG and blow ammo...

There's about every weapon that you'd like to shoot. Old German machine guns, .30 cal machine guns, a couple of .50 BMGs, a full auto Krinky, full auto MACs, etc....

Handguns of every caliber, fireworks, paint ball guns, and Tannerite!

We usually camp out over the weekend. Thank god for fans and a generator. It gets hot down there.....

I was just camping this weekend shooting on some friend's land. It was cold as holy shit, but we had fun. Nothing like returning to the campsite with a steaming rifle strapped to your back.

We usually build what is called a "FAAR" (fire) about 15 yards from the firing line.

We can crank off some rounds, and then gather by the "FAAR" and bullshit and have a beer.

It's important to keep the beer after the faaring. :)

That's about what we did as well.

I've got a Winchester 1200 I have been thinking about as a project gun but I don't know what all is available for them or where to begin. I don't know how much they differ between the 1200 and 1300

Chan as a hockey tourney MLK weekend (I know, an ICE HOCKEY tournament the weekend of a black man's holiday, for some reason that's just odd).

He plays at 10am, so we have to be in Farmer's Branch at 9am.

Can't make it.

Sorry. I'm really wanting to run some rounds through the new gun though...

I haven't decided if I'm coming or not, still toying with the idea. I just *hate* buying more ammo just so I can shoot there.

yeah they don't allow FMJ and since I only buy army surplus everything I have is either FMJ or AP, cases upon cases.

What will you be shooting? I don't have much 12g, only two little boxes, but I just want to shoot it a couple times to get a feel for it since I just got it.

If you bring a 9mm and a 40 i'll buy some ammo. I'll be renting a 9mm glock to try out there, but i would really like to shoot a 40 XD. :cool2:

EDIT: what exactly is FMJ and why don't placed allow? Too lazy to google

I'll bring you a .45 to try out, if you want I can bring you a Beretta 96FS (.40). I have pistol ammo, I'm just bitching about rifle ammo.

EDIT: or any other caliber you might be interested in. I have a little Colt 1908 .32 cal that's fun.

full metal jacket, they bitch and moan it's going to travel through 40 feet of dirt and kill someone miles away, which is complete bullshit. The real reason is they want you to buy their soft point ammo they charge a fucking arm and a leg for.

SOMETIMES you can get a cool range officer that will let you shoot whatever the hell you want, but that's rare. Normally it's this old geezer that inspects everything. Last time I brought some FMJ he got all womanly on me and told me I couldn't shoot that here, so I just packed all my shit up and left for some land out in the country.

I could bring a colt AR, flat top with a handle/scope mount if you were interested in seeing one complete. .223 isn't bad soft point, but .308 is pretty ridiculous there (since it's a hunting caliber they charge an arm and a leg for it).

I have 2 of them for my ar. One is a cheap CAA handle and the other is a old ass Armalite one. I want to decide which one works best for me and retains zero when i take it off and put it back. The range dial on the armalite one is pretty mushy but the CAA the windage dial is mushy. I wonder if i could combine the parts to get one good handle.

Can you shoot 7.62 NATO? here is german pracitce ammo for 200 bucks per 1000 or 11.95 per 50

The colt handle on my AR is rock solid, I was shooting the little christmas lights off a string at about 50 yards last weekend and the last time I zero'd it in was 4 months previous and about 300 rounds.

Haha yeah that's the plastic shit, you actually have to modify your rifle for that ammunition, or you'll have to manually cycle it each time.I was talking to one of the guys over at MGS and we looked over the ballistic chart and at 100 yards I think it's accuracy would even be questionable.

eh alipne is only a 100 yard range anyhow. I want to sight my rifle in till after the rebate check comes ... then ill be throwing a aimpoint on it i think ... maybe a acog if i can find one cheap enough.

You don't have to buy ammo to shoot at Alpine. Just pay the range fee. Somewhere under $10

Your 1300 looks exactly like my 1200 (wooden hardware). Great gun and I'll probably never get rid of mine. Just need to add a Surefire light to it and I'm done.

? Alpine does not supply your ammunition. They only allow softpoint on rifles, I only have FMJ, so I have to purchase SP to shoot their, which is what I'm complaining about.

Nice shotgun I have one just like it and I put a side saddle, streamlight, and a rear but cuff that holds 5 extra rounds. It is sweet!
