I know Bass Pro has a shooting rage (Grapevine) but where is it? I have been in there many times and have never really seen it. Thinking of going shooting tomorrow and it is close by. Do I just check in the gun at the door?

Thanks

Yes, just check your gun at the door. There will be an employee who will put a lock on it and send you back to the range. It's a very nice range and the gunsmith area below is cool as well.

Its a small range, about 10 lanes. It gets crowded and hot in there. Wear shorts. Go all the way to the guns and hang a left by the knife counter. Its right there.

That and onlky 1 rifle tube. If you plan on bringing a rifle, call ahead and schedule a time. I reccomend it since 1 tube means you have to wait if other people are ahead of you. The rifle tube is decent enough. You can get your rifle tuned in pretty quickly.

I went to the rifle tube. Nice that it was indoors, but other then that I hated it. It just felt awkward to me.

Got there to check in, took them 15 mins to get me down there. 45 mins later they called me out. I was pretty pissed off, did not get my gun zeroed to where I wanted it.

F Bass Pro and their weak-ass range and poor customer treatment.

Yeah that tube is kinda funky. The "garage door" mechanism that runs the target back and forth was all screwed up when I went and really only got about 6 shots off in an hour. Seems to take forever.

It is awkward...the sounds that tube makes when you send a round down it. One good thing is that it is indoors, no wind, no cold, but as said above, call ahead and make a reservation. If you have a new gun/scope combo, I would reserve 2 hours.

I'll 2nd that. The only reason I ever go there anymore is if I have no other option, even then it's not hard to just say fuck it.

i prefer a open field to let lose on, or a nice creek bed area.....good to have friends with land outside of city limits.

I've been 2 or 3 times and always had a good experience. I probably went during off times though because the range was always empty.

Lucky man... I tried Saturday after work and they had a 2 hour wait to get in...

My little cousin and I are going to hit up Winchester Gallery in FtWorth this week.

Are there any ammunition or caliber restrictions at the Bass Pro range? Been thinking of going there next time I'm home.
