That's just freakin' retarded. Food prices already skyrocketed and caused at least one bankruptcy (Pilgrims) due to government mandated Ethanol.... Now they just want to arbitrarily tax livestock for a "green house gas". Good job. Lets just tax our way into a recession/depression.

Tax the farting cows, subsidise the farmers, increase WIC and preschool funding because kids aren't getting enough calcium, increase medicare/medicaid spending on bone related issues...all this because of junk science.

I heard that farmers are losing money on each head of cattle when they bring them to market due to the price of corn. I look for a lot less farmers to be raising cattle next year, which will constrict the beef supply and will eventually raise prices.
