I got some Wii Points and finally got my Wii online yesterday using the wireless WiFi feature. I ended up getting some old school games from their Wii store. They have NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Neo-Geo, and more you can get!

I got:
Altered Beast
Megaman--the original
Mike Tyson's Punch Out
Metroid---the original
TMNT
Street Fighter II
Blades of Steel

They had more games on there than I expected. It was fun playing the old NES games, brings back some memories. :sombrero:

The Setup was easy, I just ran it off my wireless router. Went to their online store, bought some points and got some old games. Easy as that

i've been playing "punch out" and kicking butt!:D it's funny...i guess that they didn't want to pay tyson, so they took his name off and now the final guy is "mr dream"...it's the exact same character as tyson except he's white...fights the same, looks the same, etc.

I bought my points online through the Wii but you can go to Walmart, Bestbuy, etc and buy those 2000 point Wii gamecards for about $20 to use online for games.
The games range from 500pts to 1200pts each.
It's also best that you buy that Classic Controller too

Well, you can but them at best buy, just like the post you quoted.

Otherwise you can go to the Wii Shop Channel, use your credit card, and pay $10 for 1,000 points.

wifes new years resolution was to do the wii fit everyday for a year. I followed suit just as a bit. After 7 days straight of this crap my shoulders and abs are killing me lol.

awesome when Im at home alone with the 9 month old, he goes to sleep on my chest in the recliner, and daddy rocks super mario 3 for 2 hours. That game system is the greatest!

Also pimp during football season if you play fantasy football. Split screen the big screen tv, had games on the left, and my fantasy web site on the right thru the internet channel on the wii.

downloaded these nes clasics so far online:

mario bros
super mario bros, 2, and 3
double dribble
tecmo bowl
punch out
excite bike
adventures of zelda
donkey kong
soccer

"Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!" became just "Punch-Out!" way back when, either shortly before, or shortly after the SNES was released.

I think it was due to Tyson's legal issues, abuse charges, that Nintendo wanted to remove him from the game and separate their image from his.

For a while ~10 years ago or so, a good copy of "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!" was worth a decent amount since it was a collector's item after the re-branding to "Punch-Out!", not sure if it's still worth anything now though.

i probably still have a copy of mike tyson's punch out for nes...i'd have to dig through a bunch of junk to find it, though.

I can't get mine online using my wireless connection. I've got all Mac stuff so maybe that's the problem. I heard you can download a bunch of funny Mii's for free too. Like Storm Troopers and stuff. The Wii is great!

Nah, you can find out ow to make any kind of Mii on youtube..you can't download them, you make them, it really is funny to see what people come up with. Seriously, you will be amazed.

As far as your wireless, it should be coming straight from the router, so the Mac shouldn't have anything to with it.
