securing a wireless network?

I put a wireless router in my apartment and want to know how to secure it so only i can use it.

i have been going through the properties and shit looking for an option, but i cant find it. Does anyone know how? I think some of my neighbors are using it and i think thats the reason the netflix on my xbox is running so slow

the model is wpn824, but i found a technical support line. i will call them and see if this is an easy fix
