Do you HAVE to be connected to the internet to play this game? I've searched, and can't really find anything that gives me a definite answer. I live in the boonies and can't get high speed internet. Any info on this game will be greatly appreciated. http://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

No, it can be played without any internet connectivity. WFC is for traveling to other towns or having visitors. Yes, highspeed only, no dialup.
I know I will get a lot of shit for saying this, but animal crossing is a great game.

Just to let you know I went from WildBlue highspeed satellite to AT&T dsl (wasn't available at the time I got wildblue) and wildblue worked great for online gaming when games don't require a quick latency.
All the equipment i paid $400, it is only 6 months old and only cost $60 a month for 1gig download. I will sell all the equipment to you (dish, wiring, reciever, highspeed box) $150. Only reason I went with DSL is online gaming for first person shooters, etc...

Well the Wii is my mothers, and she's not interested in paying money for high speed internet.
But $60 for 1GB?? I have Verizon Wireless Broadband for my computer and pay that much and get 5GB. I would assume 1GB would go quickly
