How the hell do I set this crap up?
Dell XPS laptop with a built in web cam.
G/F's little girl's father wants to get something set up so when he talks to her he can see her. Web cams on both ends, but beyond that I don't know what I'm doing.
How do I get something like this set up? What program do we use to get this going?
I'm seriously lost here :(

On my HP laptop the build in webcam comes on automatically when you go into yahoo messenger and start the webcam.

So you can do this through yahoo messenger? Is it all text or a voice conversation?
Sorry, like I said, I'm clueless about ths stuff :(

Yea just download Yahoo messanger and create a screen name. Once you get it all started up and signed in there is an option of my webcam which will open a window with the video of your webcam

Google Talk has this feature now too. I haven't used it but my co-worker uses it all the time.

Skype..
Set up an account on my laptop, one on my wife's laptop.. easily recognized the cams, no hassle setup.
Easy as wax on, wax off.
