LOL. What are your system specs? What resolution are you trying to run at? I hear it is coded worse than Crysis.

Is it chocked full of errors, or just normalization of full errors within the system burn-in architecture?
Take care,

my system specs are
Windows XP SP3
Intel core 2 duo 2.2 ghz
4 gb of 1066 ddr2 ram
EVGA nividia 8600 gt
all latest drivers. so idk why it wont run
i try and boot the game it it comes up with a 3dd30 error or some shit, rock star says to reboot system.. which does nothing. i even uninstalled and reinstalled in safe mode, which did not help.. really kinda shitty.
I googled it..but nothing there helps. i tried it all.

Recommend posting the exact error.

I was able to finish the game on my pc.
Vista 64bit
E2200 oc to 3ghz
4gb ram
evga 8800gt
I'm running the pc patch and had turned it down to 1440 x 900 and settings on medium and was getting low 20s fps

I get low 20s at times too, with a Quad @ 3.2Ghz/4gb ram/260GTX sli @ 1920x1200resolution.
My laptop, gets more avg fps at 1680x1050 than 1440x900 and 1280x720...
I hope the next GTA game doesn't use the Euphoria engine, I really hope they adopt PhysX

Doesn't make me feel too much better then. I wasn't sure if I would get any benefit from going to an e8400 or a quad for GTA or if the 8800gt is starting to show its age.

the game is poorly written, which is the reason for the bad framerates.

I wouldn't go that far, look at how much is going on in the world. The euphoria engine is very taxing. I think that's what hurt rockstar if they used PhysX I think it would have been a different story but right now that's why its soo cpu intensive (as opposed to gpu handling all the physics).
Also, SLI is not currently working from what I can tell. I get the same frames with one GTX and with two.
