FWIW yall, it's for a good cause. If you leave your puter on when you're not using it why not lend it to medical research by folding? It won't hurt anything but will help in some way shape form or fashion, ESPECIALLY those high end GPU's.

If you don't have what you'd consider a powerful puter, that's ok, you can still do it.

Think about it like this, those who's lives were touched by the loss of a friend or loved one to some disease, cancer, you name it, by participating in folding, you'll be helping out w/ research towards finding a cure and it doesn't cost you a thing. :)

Was part of the maximum PC team. We should prolly make a DFWS team. To me this is more inline with humanity than seti@.... As it can help with immediate results to save lives.

Absolutely! I honestly have no clue about how to make a team but if you're interested in joining the pcpitstop team, come on! We'll take all teh help we can get. Right now were ranked #90 out of 1mill. I believe.

To add some sweetener to this, PNY is putting on a contest for F@H(Folding @ Home) w/ 2 first place prizes, 2 second place....

Here's the details.

It's something to consider, I have 2-3 spare machines to run it on. None of them are high horsepower, but not too terrible old either.

Come on over, the more the merrier! If you haven't ever been on forums.pcpitstop.com, they're prolly the nicest group of ppl I've met forum wise. I have to remind myself that it's not DFW when I'm over there. :p

FWIW, there's quite a few extremely knowledgeable folks over there as well.

Well, I fired up 6 machines for this and stuck with the previous team 11108. (maximum PC)

I did not realize they had GPU clients out, gonna figure that out soon and see how it works.
