when reading the story, I was thinking "rider", as in the guy that drives the bike. but no, it wasn't. read down a little further and saw that the DRIVER was a guy that just went to the hospital. SO, turns out there were two GUYS on 1 bike, and then wrecked and the pass got killed. such an embarassing way to go I would think.

What it looks like to me is that the guys were at a party, and one guy wanted to go for a ride on the other guy's brand new '08 Yamaha, and so they just "took it down the road", but were on a road they didn't know ended. now the driver is charged with intox manslaughter and fucked. Also, neither were wearing a helmet.

A 22-year-old man died early this morning when the motorcycle he was riding on crashed in Frisco.

Jarod Ryan Faulk of Frisco was thrown from the motorcycle about 3:30 a.m. at Inlet Street at Harbor Road.

He was pronounced dead at Centennial Medical Center.

The driver, 23-year-old James Ronald Coye of The Colony, was also thrown from the bike. Police took him to Centennial with injuries that were not life-threatening. He faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter, police said.

Before the crash, witnesses saw the two men on a black 2008 Yamaha motorcycle traveling east on Harbor at a high rate of speed. They were unable to stop at the dead-end intersection of Harbor at Inlet and crashed. Neither was wearing a helmet.

On another note, a guy came into my work today with a leather jacket, helmet, jeans, and then had on sandals.

Drinking and driving

I used to ride every once in a while, about 20 years ago, but I would never drink AT ALL when I was going to get on a bike.

What's wrong with wearing sandals and riding at the same time?

Drinking and driving is easier to do then drinking and riding im sure. Their is the balance factor.

Better that way than a long drawn out battled with the HIV.

and the stopping factor. ;)

easier to slam on the brakes in a car and stay straight than slam on the brakes on a bike.

Somehow that makes the pain of a sudden death that much more bareable....
