most places should have plates for 50-60 cents/lb.

90 isn't bad for two new 45lb plates that are cast iron and are not the grip kind. Don't be surprised if the Academy plates don't measure out to be 45 though.

Fuck me, I guess I was just getting good rates. The last time I bought weights was about a year ago and it was 1.00/1.15/lb for dumbells and .50 cents/lb for plates. Just checking out on the internet, all of the chains are at a dollar / lb or more for plates.

I'd hit craigslist in a heartbeat.
