I am the proud owner of a Kawasaki Teryx and was wanting to know if anyone rides around the DFW area. The only place I know of is on the hunting lease but right now its not the time for that. Are they any places people ride around DFW. Let me know thanx...

Marshall Creek Park
2885 Marshall Creek Road
Trophy Club, TX 76262

Directions: Where Highway 114 and Highway 377 meet, go north on 377. In 1/4th mile there is a small street on the right (Marshall Creek) that you need to turn on. Follow that street until it dead ends into a cross street, Turn Left. Trail Description: Numerous trails, tracks and small jumps. Ride anywhere you want as long as it's not on the paved road. Off roading available to Bikes, Atv's, and Jeeps.

Info Other: The park is now charging fees. $3.00 per primary vehicle (truck), plus $5.00 per ORV. Prices are for the day - we showed up 1/2 hour before closing - same price. Also, there is now an option to buy a $75 yearly pass - presumably the price per ORV.

Those trails are kinda narrow for a quad.

www.txtracks.com will give you some good places to start. There's quite a few people on this board that go ride out at Red River Moto Trails, Lake Murray and Rocky Ridge on the regular. Post up in the motorcycle section about riding and I'm sure they'll be happy to meet up with you. I try to ride when I can but I'm still stuck in LA for the next 10 days or so.

I was hearing about some trail on 360 near trinity. Is that true?

This is true, but they have been patrolled pretty regular by the police and people have been getting parking tickets and being towed pretty regular. Personally I'd rather drive an hour and spend $15 and enjoy my day of riding than get a $50 parking ticket or come back to a missing truck. You can do some reading on the following link... .

Just pay 10 bux and ride out at the Shadygrove track. 35 and Shady Grove

Its close to Dallas.

Take 35 north from 20 and south from 635 exit shady grove and drive east for about 2 miles. keep looking on the right you will see a old house that has a motorcross sign. turn onto the property goto the back keeping left. go slow.

Please be respectful, Watch for other riders.

Only problem with that place is that it is really more for bikes than ATV's.

It's a little bit of a drive, but if you are looking to plan a day of it, Rocky Ridge is a great place for ATV's.

This is about the best I could find of it on the web....

Yep, Shady grove is fun, when there arent many people there, but it is more for bikes...

Rocky Ridge is a nice mix of everything, and plenty of areas to ride. Ive only been twice, but neither time was there more than maybe 20 trucks there(we get out there early to ride and leave by 3-4p)

for a Teryx, i would hit up rocky ridge or lake murray in Ardmore. we went to brushy creek today out by caddo mills, and it was ok, but a bit small.

Is rocky ridge an atv park only or do they have truck and jeep trails?

ATV's or dirtbikes only I believe. Not big enough for trucks. I have been there a few times.

My favorite place is Rocky Ridge! Its like 15 to stay the night and camp and ride all day long. Other than that Muenster has some trails as well that are pretty fun.

Yeah, for a close place to ride Rocky Ridge is definately the best place IMO. Lake Murray and Muenster are the best if you wanna drive a little over an hour......definately worth the drive though.

Muenster will be the best place for the Teryx as almost all the main trails will be wide enough for you. I have a RZR and although I have a ton of fun at Lake Murray I do have some trouble getting through the tight trails. We had a Treyx in the group with us last time out and his cage took a beating sqeezing in the trails.

Rocky Ridge is fun for a day ride, but it is HARD on tires. Make sure you bring some slime or tire plugs :)

Does that slime really work. I am tired of airing up my tires all the time.

Shady grove will NOT allow you to ride anything bigger then a four wheeler on the tracks. He will let you screw around on the main roads only. I have been riding there for years.

I have been riding out at brushy creek. A little small but the only place that i am allowed. I will be trying out marshall creek here soon. Maybe I can get some of the UTV owners to comeout too. I just like long and wide trails.( top speed is 120mph) Most places just don't have trails for my buggy.
