Im look for Cliff Harris, Charlie Waters and ''Pistol'' Pete Maravich stuff. Any suggestions would be helpful :o

Ball, it can be displayed a little more incognito and appear to go with any decor more so than a jersey, and a photo is well, a photo.

Jersey is the best auto'd item in my opinion, a ball is cool but doesn't stand out as much, and a photo is boring.
Here's one way I have some of my autographed balls:

A jersey would be good, however it would have to be an authentic jersey. The kind that cost $250+. For Football stuff, I've always liked signed Authentic Helmets.
Whatever you get the autograph on, make sure of two things:
1.) the object signed is authentic (regulation official Wilson NFL Football, authentic helmet, etc.)
2.) certificate of authenticity with a Serial Number. Actually call the authentication company and make sure the Serial Number matches the object before you buy it. You should be able to make a call to a 1-800 number on your cell phone in the store to verify.
I was told by a guy that works for a Auction house that the object signed values the signature more than the signature itself most of the time.

Jersey... they look decent in a nice frame hung on the wall.
Jersey, unless you can get a game used helmet.

I was looking to buy one online. I'm guessing thats a bad isea. I like to stay out of shop and malls during the holidays if all possible. Is there a site that you can refer that would have authentic stuff?
I have looked at many sites but i dont want to pay 250-400 for something that is fake.

Online is pretty much a crap shoot. I don't really have any idea about reputable sites/estores. At least on EBay, the seller ratings help. But no matter what, an authentication serial number is key. It's not 100% certifiable that the item you're getting is actually the real thing, but it helps.
PSA/DNA is pretty much the top authentication service. http://www.psadna.com/

If $200 for something fake is OK, I can sign just about anything. Want 2 or 3 itmes?

Yeah, don't purchase an autographed Roethlisberger hat for the "Pittsburgh Seelers." Thanks, Steve! :D

You could go to Vegas, there are several shops out there, or a little closer to home there is one in Grapevine Mills mall that has authentic stuff, with the paper that says it is, etc.
Oh, and where the fuck are you from, Ash?
