Don't forget Brownells. Aside from a nice trigger, I'd get something like a Dwyer's Group Gripper. If you aren't getting pinched by the grip safety, don't bother with it. If a new trigger feels like it's hanging up, or any other part does, work the sides of the parts with emory cloth before you work over the contact faces. If you want some help let me know, I've got a little experience with 1911's. If you do plan to do anything to it I reccomend cylinder & slide and ed brown for parts. C&S for fire control, ed brown for everything else.

Brownell's has schematics and nice order catalog for 1911.

That's about as base model Springfield as you can get, but hell, these days that's a great buy!
