Where in DFW can I find the best deal on .40 ammo? I am thinking about doing some shooting while in the country on Thanksgiving.. I am obviously not going to Cheaper Than Dirt. :p

I'd say Walmart or Academy. Academy is usually pretty good on price. Cabellas, also?

I was searched near and far for the best .40 prices a while back when I needed 1000+ rounds for a shooting school. Best deal locally was Walmart, there are better deals to be had online though.

If you just need 50-100, def. Walmart.

Best place for ammo prices is actually Dicks Sporting Goods.

Just MAKE sure you have around 25-30 dollars in ammunition, go to the main counter, ask for a Texas Parks and Wildlife Out Door Annual (Its free).

Turn to page 7 - 9 ish. Theres a 10 dollar coupon if you spend 25 dollars or more in camping/hunting/fishing gear.

(Go to walmart, walk back to the hunting area) take like 5-6 hunting annuals and have a ball with Dicks sporting goods...

I found a receipt yesterday from 2005 from Academy for Winchester white box .40 for $4.86/box.

CCI Blazer Brass at Walmart is your best bet. If not, Monarch Green at Academy.
